EASA startet "e-tool"

Die EASA stellt einen sehr bequemen und umfassenden Zugang im Internet bereit, um den Kommentierungsprozess in Bezug auf NPAs (Notice of proposed amendments / Ankündigung vorgeschlagener Änderungen) zu erleichtern.

EASA launches electronic rulemaking handbook
Easy access to current Notices of Proposed Amendment provided as a first step

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) launched on Friday its new web-based rulemaking handbook (e-tool) to facilitate access to EASA rules. The handbook currently includes Notices of Proposed Amendment (NPA) for air operations (NPA 2009-02B, NPA 2009-02C, NPA 2009-02E) and for organisation requirements (NPA 2008-22C).

The now launched e-tool is a pre-released version of the final rulemaking handbook which will include all adopted EASA rules. The Agency decided to develop such a preliminary version to support stakeholders in the consultation phase of current NPAs.

The new tool allows users to filter rules according to their specifications. After selecting the relevant key words, they receive PDF documents with all applicable paragraphs across the NPAs already integrated in the system. Alternatively, stakeholders can use a full text search function to retrieve the relevant sections.

The tool can be accessed at http://rmh.easa.europa.eu. Any technical problems or questions relating to the rulemaking handbook can be sent to e-tool@easa.europa.eu.

Note to editors:

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) was set up by the EU in 2003 to promote the highest common standards of safety and environmental protection in civil aviation. Based in Cologne, the Agency currently employs nearly 500 experts and administrators from all over Europe
